This week, the launch edition versions for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox one, are finally selling out. Earlier this week, Gamestop announced that they would no longer be accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation 4, either online or in the stores. Amazon just announced that they are out of pre-orders as well. Another major US retailer, Best Buy, said that they are no longer accepting Xbox One pre-orders.

In a post on Facebook, Amazon said, After a crazy and exciting month, we’ve sold through our initial allocations of PS4 and Xbox One.

We have the Standard Editions for both consoles still available, but we can’t guarantee these at release. Please check back here as we’ll update you first if we receive further release day allocations.”

If you were unable to pre-order either console, you’ll still be able to pick up a console when they release. Microsoft confirmed that the Xbox One will release in November for $499, and Sony said that the PS4 will be available around Christmas for $399.
