Nintendo has just announced that they will be hosting a Nintendo Direct Pokemon X and Y presentation.  The presentation will be appropriately titled Pokemon Direct and will give more information on the upcoming game.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will be hosting as he gives fans a more detailed look into their newest installment.  The session will be aired in Japan on September 4th at 8 P.M. local time.   Gamers in the west can log on and watch at 7 A.m. EST in North America or 1 P.M. CEST in Europe.

The event will be streamed live and gamers can watch it through Nintendo Direct.  Gamers have already gotten a lot of information on the upcoming title, including updates on the legendary types as well as the reveal of mega-evolutions.  All in all, this is shaping up to be one of Nintendo’s most ambitious Pokemon titles to date.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be releasing on October 12 for the 3DS and retail for $39.99.  The game will also be available on Nintendo’s newly announced 2ds, which will release on the same day for only $129.99.  For those who cannot wait, check out some previously released gameplay footage to hold you over in the meantime.
