Activision announced during its third-quarter financial earnings call that Diablo III has sold over 14 million copies across all of its platforms, including PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will also be coming to the PlayStation 4 in 2014.

The console version has been quite successful, and Blizzard believes this is because of the great control scheme that has been implemented for controllers, as well as the removal of the auction house that has seemed to cause so many problems on PC and Mac.

The success of the console version has led to the decision to bring down the auction house for PC and Mac in March.

Diablo III also has an expansion, Reaper of Souls, coming to PC, Mac and PlayStation 4 versions of the game in 2014.
