Square Enix has long since made in known that a remastered HD version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 will be coming to the PlayStation 3 March the 18th, but they have a surprise for gamers. Today, Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will be coming to the PlayStation Vita on the same day as the PlayStation 3 version.

Take Yuna and Tidus and all the Aions with you on the go on March the 18th for $40. And thanks to the cross functionality between the PlayStation 3 and the Vita, gamers who have both versions will be able to move their saves back and forth between the two systems.

In addition, Square has also revealed their intentions for a special editions of the HD remake. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Collector’s Edition will of course come with the HD remastered version of the game, a full art book, a ‘visual soundtrack,’ and special lithograph prints of the main characters. This edition will only be available on the PlayStation 3.

“Our goal with this Collector’s Edition was to give this game’s biggest fans something they could really cherish,” said Square Enix senior product manager Sakura Minamida.

The Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy X/X-2 will arive on March the 18th on the PlayStation 3 for $80.
