While the next installment into the Hitman franchise isn’t quite ready to be shown at E3 this year the danish studio IO Interactive did release some of the first concept art for the game. IO says that players will be able to creep around the entire building in the pictures and the building itself is larger than any location in Hitman: Absolution.

The word that can be seen writter in the batter “sanguine” is dervived form the Latin word “for blood.” This could mean players might be in for a more Blood Money style and vibe of game with this installment. The next installment in the series follows the life of Agent 47 and will be heading to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, a release date or window for the game has not been announced. In an open letter published by IO in January the studio says the game will feature Agen 47 at the peak of his skills in a large open world.

IO made the following statement:

“We are building this game on the backbone of the Glacier 2 engine,” IO wrote, “using the best parts and what we have learnt through Hitman: Absolution and drawing inspiration from past titles like Contracts and Blood Money to fulfill the core Hitman fantasy. That means we’re packing in an extreme level of detail on the largest levels we have ever built for a Hitman game. We’ve adopted an open, non-linear level design approach to the game, ensuring the game will play out across huge, checkpoint-free, sandbox levels. Our aim is to create living, breathing and believable levels which will allow gamers to play around with the AI to create those unique moments every fan of the Hitman franchise loves.”
