The PlayStation Vita Keeps Getting Better

Over the past several months, there has been a great deal of concern surrounding the future of PlayStation’s beloved handheld, the PS Vita. Sales have been decent but nowhere near that of its predecessor, the PSP. Now, with recent speculation that there may not be as many AAA titles being developed for this system, there are many Vita owners, or those who were considering purchasing it, that are beginning to doubt their decisions.

Fear not my dearly adored, PlayStation patrons. I’m here to shed some positive light on this dismal situation. There are actually an incredible number of upcoming Vita releases that will be sure to quench your thirst and tickle your fancy. A bunch of indies? The biggest tittles I saw there, was Freedom Wars, SAO Hollow Fragment, Dangan Ronpa 2, Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth, and Mighty No. 9; Im not counting Tales of Hearts R as that one is a remake of a DS game (Im going to get so much hate for that one). Yes the Vita is not doomed as everyone would like it to be, however there are other games that deserve honorable mentions especially for the Importers. Where’s the Senran Kagura (Shinovi Versus & Bon Appetit), Hatsune Miku Project Diva f2, and Toukiden Extreeme on this list?

    • This was just MY most anticipated, and I also wanted to highlight some games in different genres that I’m excited for. I didn’t want it to turn into a “20 Exciting JRPGs” list. LOL! There are SOOO many great games coming out though.

      • nonscpo

JRPG’s? Both Hatsune Miku Project Diva f2 & Senran Kagura Bon Appetit are rythm games, we dont get to many of those in general.

        • Yeah, I meant “Japanese Titles”… not really JRPGs necessary. Of course that’s not really a good classification either. Hmmm… “Super Otaku Games?” LOL! Yeah, those will be fun, but I’ve played so many recently that I’m looking forward to a change of pace. This was just a list of what I’m excited for right now. You can check out my other article for games like that though. 😉

          • nonscpo

Lol, Ive actually already read that article and commented too. That was a nice article though, is it safe to say youll make another one of those rated “IM” articles next year when Criminal Girls comes out?

  • Section8

In an article that you titled best 20 vita games, you pick all indies and imports. What the hell?! No Uncharted or AC Liberation? And because of your list (damn you), I’m now highly interested in Reborn.

    • You didn’t read the opening paragraphs! LOL! These are all upcoming or recently released (within the past few weeks). Yeah, I’m really anxious to find out more about Reborn. It sounds incredible.

      • Section8

Yeah my bad. I just went through the list. Sorry bud. It does suck that they won’t release AAA games because it’s for “on the go”.

  • MXC

Dood! How could you not include Hyper Light Drifter considering all the indies you included. Have you seen the trailer?! Educate yourself!!!(Sorry if that sounds rude)
