Murasaki Baby is a quirky PS Vita exclusive that utilizes the touch-screen capabilities of the handheld system. You follow the main character Baby (or rather, she follows you as you hold her hand and guide her through the game) as she journeys through the Tim Burton-like world, with undead-looking characters and landscapes that will even scare Baby.

The game only uses the main touchscreen and the rear touchscreen for gameplay. You use the screen to figure out the puzzles throughout and keep Baby’s balloon from popping. If it does, it’s game over!

The developers, Ovosonico, wanted this game to be engaging and they wanted the character and the player to bond. They really explain their process and the development of the studio itself in the release of their first of three dev diaries, which is below.

Murasaki Baby will be coming out September 16 and will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store for $14.99. And if you’re a PlayStation Plus member than you’ll be able to get it at a discounted price during the first week of release for $11.99.
