The folks of ATLUS shared some details on their upcoming Tears to Tiara II title coming to the PlayStation 3 console. This will be the first time Tears to Tiara has appeared stateside, so there is plenty of anticipation waiting around the release set for October 14 of this year.

Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord  is a strategy RPG with a mix of scenario simulation, like that of Persona 4, and the game switches between the two modes to progress through the story. For fans of previous SRPGs you’ll definitely find plenty of familiar features here without the complexity of some of the more hardcore SRPG titles. It seems to have plenty of Fire Emblem vibe with more of an emphasis on story. However, Tears to Tiara has plenty of features to make it stand out on its own, including a crafting system, a rewind feature in which you can take back actions you’ve done, and its Chariot system. All of these add to your strategic decisions as you progress through the game. The game is set to last you for 80+ hours and is presented in the original Japanese audio.

The game’s website went live yesterday so feel free to take the time to check this title out! Again Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord is coming out October 14, and since it is a series debut they have a special pre-order gift! Those that pre-order will get the “Tears to Tiara II VISUAL WORKS” artbook included. Its 31 pages filled with full color collections showing off the artist Naru Furudera’s characters and background drawings.
