Atlus has plenty on their plate this year in the way of RPGs. Not only do they have their crossover title Etrian Mystery Dungeon on the way, and Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, we also get the next installment to Etrian Odyssey Untold. The sequel titled Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will also feature the two separate playstyles its previous title had. One Story Mode in which you play as a fixed party of adventurers, animated cutscenes, voiced dialog and follows the tail of the Fafnir Knight. Then Classic Mode which is an upgraded version of Etrian Odyssey 2. The classic mode will feature new dungeon layouts, improvements to the game system and UI based on player feedback, and an improved Grimoire stone system.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight is headed for a 3DS release later this summer!

Of course in classic Atlus fashion if you pre-order the game you’ll get this awesome set up of additional items with the game’s first print release. The launch edition includes a 22 page art book filled with additional story on the characters within the game, also the pages will have QR codes to get you some beginner-friendly Grimoire Stones. You’ll also get the rough sketch soundtrack which features some early renditions of the game’s music!
