PAX Prime, one of the premier gaming conventions, has released information regarding the keynote speaker for the event. Kim Swift, designer of Portal has been announced as the speaker. She has worked on Portal and Left 4 Dead and is now a senior game designer for Amazon Game Studios.

She is joining the ranks of some well renowned speakers for the event including Wil Wheaton, Ken Levine, and Peter Molyneux. In a statement from the PAX Prime event organizers they said,

“We really try to look for landmark people who have been pivotal to gaming culture to open our event, so you can understand why we are thrilled to have her at Prime this year. We can’t wait to hear the stories and insight she will share at Prime this year,”

PAX Prime is scheduled for August 28 – 31 in Seattle, Washington.
