Today Microsoft has announced that the next iteration in the Halo franchise Halo 5: Guardians has gone gold.The game has been fully complete ahead of it’s release but there is still much development happening for the game.

Halo 5: Guardians is expected to be a blockbuster title for the series with a multi-character campaign and a robust multiplayer experience that offers a massive 12v12 Warzone mode. Additionally 343 Industries is planning to put out a ton of new content once the game releases including over 18 free multiplayer maps.

Pre-loading the game will begin next week so make sure your consoles are set to automatically download the file. Additionally there will be a multiplayer content update.

Halo 5: Guardians will release on October 27 for Xbox One.
