Nintendo has announced a new 3DS themed around, but not bundled with a copy of, the newest entry in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Fates. The system will launch on February 19 to coincide with the release date of the game and comes with custom Fire Emblem themed art emblazoned on the case. The new 3DS XL is price at $200.

The newest entry in the long-running RPG series, Fire Emblem Fates has an interesting pricing and launch model. The game will launch with two separate versions, titled Birthright and Conquest respectively, and each will have their own separate story. Gamers who purchase either version at the full $40 price tag will then have the option of digitally downloading the other version for $20. There will be a third version called Revelations to release after launch.

Gamers can also opt into buying the special edition of Fates $80, which includes all three versions of the game, an artbook, and a 3DS XL carrying pouch.
