Hammer Storm is the newest free update for Halo 5: Guardians and it is coming to fans very soon. The update will be introducing a new map, more Reqs, and the Grifball playlist, among other things to the ever popular Xbox One sci-fi shooter. Now, developer 343 Industries has shared some new information about it, beginning with the first official image of Halo 5’s Grifball.

Grifball is only now coming to Halo 5 because 343 wanted to “get it right.” Some changes have been made to the fan-favorite mode, one of which is the court on which matches are played. 343 said previously that it’s “unlike any Grifball court you have seen before.”  343 is keeping most of this information under wraps for now, but teased that it has a “few things planned” this coming week for Grifball.

The developer also has released some images of the new Arena map, Torque. The first official screenshot is below (left), while the other two are pieces of concept art.

Additionally, 343 shared an updated graphic that shows off the new Reqs coming to Halo 5 through the Hammer Storm update.

Finally, 343 said they will be hosting a Twitch broadcast tomorrow, February 23rd starting at 3 PM PST, during which they will show off Hammer Storm‘s new content. Check back here at Gamer Assault Weekly for more information as it releases and for all your gaming news.

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
