Be ready to craft, loot, and fight your way through the world of Navezgane, Arizona in 7 Days to Die. After the third world war a zombie plague arises, forcing the player to start with almost nothing in order to improve their skills and create their own defenses.

This game simulates real world survival, as players must satiate their basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing in environments that are constantly changing. This is only one half of the challenge, as players must build their defenses before the rise of the blood moon.

After seven days, this moon turns somewhat feeble zombies into swift killers with the intent massacring you and destroying your base. The game allows players to work alone in single player mode, or work with others to defend their base in split-screen and online modes.

Created by developer The Fun Pimps for PC, 7 Days to Die had huge success selling over 1.5 million copies. Producer Richard Huenink and his younger brother came up with the idea, drawing inspiration from “zombie movies and shows.” The brothers wanted to encapsulate the best qualities of the Fallout series and combine it with the mechanics of Minecraft.

Fans jumped at the idea, and 7 Days to Die was constantly requested for console. Well, your requests were heard and answered! Working with Telltale Games and Iron Galaxy, 7 Days to Die will be available for digital download and physical copy for the Playstation 4. The title is set to release on June 28th, and anyone who pre-orders will receive skins from The Walking Dead.

About me: Christine "smollbirb" Marten is a recent college grad that has been playing video games since she was gifted with her first NES console in 1999. Known as LuxAterna on Steam, she started as a games journalist in 2012 and has been writing about games and the industry since. In college, she acted as the president/clubmother for the gaming club, and hosted her own gaming radio show called SoundWave Games. When she is not gaming she can be seen cosplaying at conventions, working with non-profits that fundraise through video games (like Extra Life and Child's Play), acting as community manager for The Senpai Project, playing League of Legends with friends, or serenading passerbyers with her violin skills on the streets of NYC. She will literally play anything that is thrown at her (but please don't throw to hard she is smoll). She enjoys indie games and horror games especially, and her favorite series of all times is Kingdom Hearts. Her third love, after video games and violin, is puns. Although it is a dangerous life she makes them whenever she hears the opportunity to do so. Christine hopes to bring her own spin on storytelling to the GAW community as she continues to seek out whatever the world has to offer!
