Much to the joy of fans, Bethesda has announced that there will be a Elder Scrolls: Skyrim remaster coming out for consoles on October 28, 2016. Five years ago the original game was launched, introducing us all to the Dragon Born and the deep expansive world of Skyrim. Now, the console players can enjoy the mods that PC players have been messing with for years, and those not familiar with installing mods on their computers can get an HD version from Bethesda themselves. .

Based on the trailer shown and images from Bethesda’s Twitter, the new update looks to be absolutely gorgeous. Once touted for having already incredible images, Skyrim still has rewarding and engaging gameplay.  Even better for those who already own it, “If you own Skyrim and all its add-ons or own Legendary Edition on Steam, you’ll get a free upgrade to Skyrim Special Edition on Oct 28″ – Bethesda Twitter. Perhaps now is the time to re-visit a classic, or maybe dive into Elder Scrolls: Skyrim for the first time.
