During the Nintendo Treehouse Live E3 presentation, Monster Hunter Generations was showcased, as well as sharing the face paced new trailer at the bottom of this page. Nintendo also announced a demo that fans will be able to play right now. You can get your hands on the demo in a number of different ways.

If you’re in Europe, Congratulations, you can get the demo for free right now with little effort, via this tweet from the Nintendo of Europe account.

For everyone else there is a second way, which is totally randomized, and not everyone will be able to receive it. According to the Capcom blog, some 3DS owners “may receive an email from Nintendo” that will contain two download codes. These you will be able to redeem in the Nintendo eShop. As you will only need the one code, you can choose to be a wonderful person and share the other code with a friend you hold most dear.

The third way, for everyone else, isn’t so free, as you can pick up the demo as part of the E3 2016 Humble Bundle Digital Ticket. You will find it in the $4 tier. Which isn’t a bad deal.

If you don’t want to fork over the four bucks, you’re not living in Europe, or you’re not one of the special chosen ones, then you’ll just have to wait until June 30th when the demo will be made available for everyone in the eShop.

As for what is available to you in the demo, the Capcom blog was very insightful and highlighted just how big the content will be. They are offering,

“3 main quests (Hunt a Great Maccao, Hunt a Malfestio, Hunt a Nargacuga) that you can take on either solo or co-op (local or online), along with a selection of basic tutorials for newcomers. It also features all 14 weapon types x 4 Hunting Styles and Prowler mode.”

And they’ve also removed the cap on how many times you can play it. So you and your friends (or strangers via the internet) can play to your hearts content.

Monster Hunter Generations is coming to Nintendo 3DS in North America and Europe on July 15th. Below is the promised trailer. Stay Tuned to Gamer Assault Weekly for more information as it becomes available.

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
