Square Enix has just released its newest trailer for their up and coming mobile game Mobius Final Fantasy showing off the games combat capabilities in just thirty short seconds. The combat looks crisp and thought out with a limit break for each playable character, as is the custom with each Final Fantasy game. In terms of visuals, the game looks stunning for being on the mobile platform; Square Enix states “console-quality HD visuals that push the boundaries of the mobile platform,” which holds up quite nicely in comparison to a lot of console quality games. The game has already been released in Japan and is coming to North America shortly.

The two biggest masterminds behind Mobius Final Fantasy are its producer Yoshinore Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima. One of their greatest works just so happens to be the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII, so here’s hoping they bring the same magic to this title in the Final Fantasy lineage.

Mobius Final Fantasy is set to release in one week on August 3rd, 2016 for iOS and Android devices. It’s a free to play app that will feature in-app-purchases. Special free in-game rewards are going to be given away at launch depending on the number of pre-registered players that will be on the website.
