Activision has just announced Destiny: The Collection, a compilation version of the shooter that comes with all the previously released DLC, as well as the new, and very much anticipated, expansion, Rise of Iron.

Destiny: The Collection is being released on September 20th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, not on the last-gen systems, which should be no surprise to anyone since Rise of Iron will not be coming to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The $60 package also comes with a single character boost that players can use to make their new character.

People who preorder The Collection digitally can play the base game, as well as expansions The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King, right away, while they wait for Rise of Iron.

In a news release, Activision VP Byron Beede said The Collection is a “perfect starting point” for people who have not yet played Destiny. For those of you who haven’t played does The Collection incise you? Will you give it a shot? Tell us in the comments below. Stay tuned to Gamer Assault Weekly for more information as it is released.

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
