Ubisoft debuted three new badass For Honor trailers yesterday at PAX West, focusing on their three warrior groups: the Samurai, Viking, and Knight. The game deals with massive armies of the groups fight for, well, honor, and survival probably.

The first video that Ubisoft released shows off the Kensei. The Kensei are the ultimate warriors from the Samurai faction. His sword, the Nodachi, is devastatingly powerful, capable of lopping off a head if used properly. The sword and his ability to use it in a war scenario sets him apart from other of his Samurai brethren. Check out his trailer below.

The second video offers a look at the Raider of the Viking faction. The Raider was the strongest of fighters in the Viking culture and commanded a fearsome presence on the battlefield. This tank of a man who wields a huge battle-ax and wears almost no armor with the belief that his death in battle is predetermined, so why bother.

Finally, the third video spotlights the Warden of the Knight group. A man who stands for justice and to defend the weak. This hulking statue of a man uses a Longsword with deadly accuracy as well as shoulder charges and kicks to make him a adversary to remember.

Below are the official descriptions, as written by Ubisoft.

  • Samurai: History has not been kind to the Samurai. After losing their homeland to sea and fire, the nomadic warriors have ceased their wandering and have rebuilt themselves a new nation under a mighty Emperor.
  • Raider: Previously thought to have vanished, the Vikings have returned to plunder, take new lands, and reclaim their ancient homeland in the north.
  • Knight: Scattered for centuries, the Knights have begun at last to gather again under a single banner: that of the Iron Legion.

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
