Tatsumi Kimishima, president of Nintendo, has revealed that before the end of the fiscal year in March 2017, the company’s intends to ship 2 million Units of their newest console, the Switch.

Wall Street Journal reporter Takashi Mochizuki was in attendance and brings us this information. It’s important to note that the number represents the units Nintendo believes it can sell, not consumers.

Kimishima has also noted that the Switch will not be sold at a loss, and Nintendo intends to listen to what consumers have to say as far as pricing. With that, Nintendo intends to have consumers go hands-on with the Switch before the launch. Kimishima says he is confident consumers will see the differences between the Switch and the 3DS after unveiling the console. The Nintendo Switch will be out next year in March.
