Bloodfall, the third expansion for blood filled shooter Doom has launched today ahead of it’s scheduled release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Players can now enjoy the new expansion while they earn double XP. The double XP weekend has already kicked off and will be avaialable through Monday, December 19 at 12:00 PM ET.

Bloodfall adds three new maps Empyrian, Boneyard and Outbreak.

Empyrian – Fight in an ageless colosseum held aloft by opposing energies, as the gilded battlements slowly crumble

Boneyard – Battle in the outer realm of Hell, where the landscape is made entirely of demon flesh, teeth, and bone

Outbreak – Engage in intense combat throughout a UAC facility transformed after underworldly science breaks free from containment

A new grenade launcher has also been added to the game giving players some explosive power with regular grenades while providing them a safe escape with smoke grenades. Other equipment including lateral thrusters allow players to move about the map quickly to evade enemies.

A new demon is also thrown into the mix called Spectre Pinky. Bethesda describes Spectre Pinky, “as the fast and heavily armored Pinky demon with Spectre abilities, stalk your enemies with invisibility, or bull rush to insta-gib all in your path.”

Additionally new hack modules were added to the game including extra protection, extra armor per health pickup, augmented healing, extra health per health pickup, glory sight and the ability to glory kill enemies from a farther distance.

Lastly, new character customization were added allowing players to choose from 15 new patterns and colors.

The Bloodfall expansion is included as part of the game’s $40 Season Pass or can be purchased on it’s own for $15.
