It seems the Direct will have very little actually new information if these leaks keep happening, because Gamestop just revealed in a description for the upcoming console that it will have some form of Pokémon game. This could be the rumoured Pokémon “Stars” version that would be the third version of the Sun and Moon games, although Nintendo hasn’t done a “third version” Pokémon game in quite a while, and they’ve never had a mainline Pokémon game for a home console.

The part of the listing in mention read:

“Nintendo Switch games will include new title offerings from Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, the NBA and more! You will even be able to play Skyrim on the go, or Pokemon at home with the Nintendo Switch. The unit will also include a number of handy, interchangeable Nintendo Switch accessories”.

This listing has been taken down since then, which really only makes it more suspicious. It also seems to confirm a Splatoon port or some for of enhanced version, as well as Skyrim and NBA (both of which we saw in the reveal trailer, but Nintendo hasn’t yet officially confirmed them as playable titles). It seems that the Switch may very well be the successor to the 3DS as well as the Wii U, which points towards a beefy library of the previously handheld exclusive titles as well as home console titles.

This isn’t the first leak from a retailer for the Switch, and thus far they all seem to nod towards similar things. Retailers do often get information about consoles in advance so they can put listings up for the system once it has been officially revealed, so they can begin pre-orders and marketing. Only a few more days until the Switch Direct on the 12th, which will be followed by the software Direct on the 13th.
