If you have’t played Pokémon Snap, you absolutely should. But also, it’s coming to the Wii U virtual console in North America so you can have a shot at playing it without searching for an old cart and dusting off the old 64. The Europeans and Aussies had it back in August, and Japan got it in April last year. Better late than never, however.

Pokémon Snap has you in the shoes of a Pokémon photographer, taking photos of Pokémon along a rail system through different areas. Despite the simple concept, the items you can use to interact with the Pokémon make the game incredibly engaging, and it’s a lot of fun revisiting old areas and trying out new items to see the Pokémon react in ways you haven’t seen before.

You can totally make that Electrode explode.

When you teleport back to the lab, Porfessor Oak will ruthlessly judge all of the photos you have taken based on how in frame the Pokémon is, the number of the same Pokémon in shot and how interesting it is (doing things like getting Pikachu to surf will make him go nuts, he loves it). Pokémon Sun and Moon implemented a little mini game that functions like a barebones version of this game, with you taking photos with the Pokédex, but the difference is you instead upload them online and get a variety of comments on them.

It’s on sale tomorrow for $10 USD, and supports the Pro controller and the gamepad (although not it the cool using the gamepad as a camera way that everyone had wished for since the Wii U was first announced). If you already on the title on the Wii’s Virtual Console, you can download it on Wii U totally free of charge.

Looks cute, now, wait until you play this hellish level.
