Many retailers have recently dropped the price of the acclaimed adventure title The Last Guardian to a $40 price tag from the usual $60. Apparently, this isn’t a limited-time offer, but instead a permanent discount.

A representative from Sony has confirmed to Polygon that the new official price for The Last Guardian will in fact be $40 across many outlets including Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy, and the Playstation Store.

The Last Guardian had received overall positive reviews, in spite of its at times difficult development process and general fear of the game’s cancellation. The Last Guardian was released in December of 2016, and Fumito Ueda, the game’s director, had explained the game had many “twists and turns” during development, and that it “took longer than anyone expected.”
