During EA’s earnings call today, the publisher had the chance to talk about Star Wars Battlefront 2. CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed the game’s holiday 2017 release date, and stated they would deliver a bigger game with even more content.

Battlefront 2 will deliver an all-new single-player campaign, which was a feature conspicuously absent from 2015’s Star Wars: Battlefront. The single-player mode has been teased before, and is now officially confirmed by EA.

Wilson stated that EA has “heard our players’ desire for even more depth and progression.” The single-player campaign was highly requested by players of the original, who sought more content with the game. In addition, you’ll see more Star Wars heroes, locations, and ways to play.

The success of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Force Awakens was particularly noted by Wilson. Both of these films had content featured in the previous Battlefront, but could we expect more from both of these films? Very likely so.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will launch holiday season 2017.
