The Nintendo DS’s Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey will receive an enhanced 3DS remake. During a live stream announcement of Atlus’s 2017 titles, Atlus revealed Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey.

Players will once again have the chance to explore Schwartzwelt, a mysterious spatial distortion in Antartica that threatens to swallow the Earth. Enjoy the story once again with new from-the-chest-up illustration and full voice-over. Plus, enjoy convenient new features like the ability to save whenever you want during dungeon exploration.

For players looking for new content, Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey adds a brand new ending and a new character. The remake introduces us to a mysterious new character named Alex. According to Gematsu’s translation, she’s a mysterious girl who “suddenly attacks the protagonist during exploration of Schwarzwelt.” More details will be arriving in an upcoming issue of Famitsu magazine.

Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey will release in Fall 2017 for Japanese audiences. There’s currently no word regarding an international release. Besides Deep Strange Journey, expect another big Shin Megami Tensei title coming soon: an HD title for the Nintendo Switch.
