The Harvest Moon franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year as well as getting a new entry, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village.

Rising Star Games released a new trailer for Harvest Moon: Skytree Village today as the upcoming 3DS release approaches its early June worldwide release date.

The cutesy farming simulator has been a cult classic for more than two decades. Skytree Village looks to make some improvements on the tried and true Harvest Moon formula by incorporating fan feedback in order to streamline gameplay mechanics.

“The community has helped shape this all-new adventure just like players will shape and mould the land in the game, with their feedback and input contributing to what will be the most rounded, enjoyable and accessible Harvest Moon yet seen,” Rising Star Games said in a press release.

Some key features of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village include:

  • Completely new story with tons of interesting new characters.
  • New crops and flowers to discover.
  • New fishing mechanics: expand waterways and catch rarer fish.
  • A full town populated with many residents, each with their own personalities and quirks.
  • Play as a boy or a girl, woo bachelorettes and bachelors, and start a family.
  • Care for the newest herd animal: the super-hairy super-cute Poitou donkey!

The game launched for North America back in November, but its worldwide release is aimed towards June this year. For more on Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, keep an eye on Gamer Assault Weekly.
