The leaks are real. This year’s Call of Duty title will take the franchise back to its World War II roots. Activision‘s recent Tweet flat out states, “WWII confirmed.”

Next week, we’ll have our first look at the game. Its worldwide livestream will take place on April 26th at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. Hopefully, we’ll learn the game’s release date and platforms on that date as well.

Call of Duty returns to its World War II roots with Call of Duty: WWII, developed by Sledgehammer Games. More details are incoming during the game’s Worldwide Reveal livestream on Wednesday, April 26 featuring Sledgehammer Games co-studio heads and founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield. Fans will be able to tune in to get a first look at Call of Duty: WWII and get intel on the studio’s vision for the game.

Call of Duty: WWII will be helmed by Sledgehammer Games. Their most recent entry in the franchise was Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. You can check out the leaked box art and other marketing material here.
