Quentin Tarantino’s iconic crime film Reservoir Dogs will be getting a non-canon video game prequel of the team’s robbery heist days before the events of the film. The game, Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, is a stylish top-down shooter developed by Big Star Games– and it’s got a brand new trailer along with the official release date.

As you can see from the trailer, Big Star Games has certainly captured Quentin Tarantino’s aesthetic for violence. You’ll play as all six characters: Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White. Unfortunately, though, the developer couldn’t afford to keep the actors’ likeness into the game and had to play loose with their character designs.

The game’s main gimmick is the ability to turn back time and to swap control over the characters; think Super Time Force. It’s a loose and creative adaptation of the film’s noted flashback structure.

Film company Lionsgate and Big Star Games announced that Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will arrive on May 18 for Steam. An Xbox One version will come “later this year,” with no announcements for other platforms.
