Nintendo console fans rejoice because sources say that the gaming company will be releasing SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) Mini later this year following up the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) microconsole last year. It is set to launch around December this year as its production is already on the go.

Nintendo says that the NES mini’s smashing success last year was highly unexpected as they originally released the consoles to be some sort of collector’s item perfect for gifting on Christmas. Only a limited amount of the NES consoles were manufactured to suit the company’s goal, but its popularity still soared which caused them to extend production and shipments until early this year. However, Nintendo could not continue reproduction any further because the SNES Mini is set to debut next.

Hopefully, SNES Mini will have more stocks than its highly loved predecessor to avoid rampage for its lack.

Despite the NES being Nintendo’s first and original console, SNES counters the NES with better software and advanced games line-up such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country. SNES is also known to have hosted some of the best RPGs such as the Secret of Mana and Chrono trigger. Other games SNES had with Nintendo include Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Star Fox, and Earthbound.

Just as the NES was created with pre-installed games and a plug-and-play setup, it is anticipated that it will be the same for the SNES. All that’s left now is to wait until Christmas, and how very merry it will be with the come back of Nintendo classics!

A small girl from a small town who has been playing video games since she could remember. From the Super Mario Series on the NES, The Legend of Zelda, Counter Strike 1.0, Diablo I & II, Ragnarok Online, Gunbound, O2Jam, Suikoden, Harvest Moon, Final Fantasy, League of Legends and so many other games - Deci plays just about anything mostly on the PC and the PS3 nowadays. Her favorite genres would be RPGs, FPS, and MOBA. She used to dream of becoming a game character concept artist (she may never achieve this, but there's no harm in dreaming, right? lol). In the present she continues to play various video games, illustrating and making Gunpla models from time to time and even dressing up as some random character from Animes and video games. Gaming is both her frustration and sweet escape. Frustration because she knows she's a noob at most of the games she loves playing, and sweet escape because gaming has given some of the best days of her life.
