Nintendo has released their sales figures for the month of April, and for the second month in a row, the Nintendo Switch has been the best-selling console with Mark Kart 8 Deluxe as its top-selling game.

The NPD has reported that over 280,000 Nintendo Switch units, and their 3DS sold over 68,000 units during the month of April. Not only that, but their game sales were very strong. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the highest game by far selling over 460,000 units on the day of its release on April 28. On April 29, the NPD cutoff day, the game had sold over 550,000 copies.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the third-highest selling game on the Switch in April. Snipperclips and 1-2-Switch sales were also strong sellers for that month. Nintendo also detailed a summer line-up for the Switch and 3DS at the end of their report.

Here is what we have to look forward to:

  • Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (May 19, Nintendo 3DS)
  • Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers (May 26, Nintendo Switch)
  • ARMS (June 16, Nintendo Switch)
  • Ever Oasis (June 23, Nintendo 3DS)
  • Splatoon 2 (July 21, Nintendo Switch)

On top of that, the Nintendo 2DS XL will release July 28th. On top of that, Hey! Pikman and Miitopia are also scheduled for release on the same day. It is a breath of fresh air to hear that Nintendo is finally back on the market, and we can imagine that their investors are finally satisfied. Good job Nintendo!
