To coincide with the recent release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in theaters, Capcom’s social media decided to show off a “#ShamelessPlugIn” on Twitter. Everybody’s favorite trash panda, Rocket Raccoon, flaunts one of his hypers in a brief Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite blurb.

In the teaser, Rocket Raccoon busts out one of his more cinematic hypers, possibly a Level 3, to wail on Ultron. Groot shows up to team up with Rocket and deliver a solid beatdown.

Could this trailer disconfirm Groot as a playable fighter? Maybe. This also opens up speculation that Groot could serve in a similar role to Phoenix Wright’s ability to use his partner Maya in some of his moves.

You might also notice that Rocket Raccoon has a new voice from his Marvel vs. Capcom 3 incarnation. He’s got less of a Cockney accent and something closer to Bradley Cooper’s Philly accent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will release on September 19 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out the latest story and gameplay trailers.
