If you are still getting your mech fill playing Respawn’s Titanfall 2, then you have a whole mess of new content coming your way. This newest update includes not just a map, but also a brand new Titan.

Developer Respawn describes the above Titan, Monarch, as a “mid-range Vanguard-class” mech. Its unique design is the  Upgrade Core allows the player to pick from various upgrades over the course of its playtime. Just by merely surviving long enough, it can evolve to its “final form.”

The nature of these upgrades, unfortunately, wasn’t explained as of yet, however, Respawn did note that it features the “ability to draw power from enemy Titans to recharge her own shields, or the shields of her friendly Titans.” Respawn said that there will more details and a video of the Monarch in action shared soon.

Also on the way in the next update is a new map, Relic (pictured above). It’s a worksite built around the crashed Odyssey, the IMC carrier from Titanfall 2’s campaign. “Created with frontlines in mind, the gameplay is all about assaulting and controlling the center and engaging in firefights from the great viewpoints of the ship against the varied defensible positions in the town,” Respawn explained.

There is also a new free addition to this patch and it’s an execution called Now You See Me. Also, the existing map, Crashsite, receives an update to address various collision issues. Besides those fixes, it will gain new ziplines and wall running locations to further facilitate on-foot mobility for Pilots.

Then on the paid content side, Titanfall 2 gets some new Prime Titan designs for Ronin and Tone, which you can see in the gallery below. Also, new nose art, camos, and callsigns will also be added to the in-game store for purchase.

All of this goes live for players on May 30th. On that same day, the featured mode will be Titan Brawl, and “all modes will offer double XP for a limited time.”

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
