Today, Square Enix officially announced its upcoming PS4 title Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, a Final Fantasy team-based fighting game. Fight as iconic heroes and villains throughout the Final Fantasy series, and dive into immersive battles.

Players of the first Dissidia Final Fantasy game on the PSP might notice some huge differences. That’s because this new game will be based on the 2015 arcade reboot of the series, which is helmed by Tecmo Koei’s Team Ninja. This port will finally bring the previously Japanese arcade-only Dissidia to worldwide audiences on console.

Fights are arranged in a three-vs-three format. You can choose from a cast of over 20 characters that include the roster of the original Dissidia Final Fantasy and newer additions like Final Fantasy XV‘s Noctis and Final Fantasy Tactics‘ Ramza. Iconic Final Fantasy summons like Ifrit, Shiva, and Odin can aid you in battle as well!

The console release of the game will add “an all-new Final Fantasy story” written by Kazushige Nojima. Nojima’s writing credits include Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, Final Fantasy X, and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will release for PS4 some time in early 2018.
