Missed the Pokémon Nintendo Direct? Have no worries, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s the gist of what Gamefreak, Nintendo, and The Pokémon Company have in store for you.

Pokkén Tournament DX (Deluxe)

Pokkén Tournament will receive an enhanced port for the Nintendo Switch titled Pokkén Tournament DX. This port will bring in the four additional fighters who have been introduced to the game’s arcade version post-Wii U release: Scizor, Darkrai, Empoleon, and Croagunk. It also brings a brand new fighter, Rowlet’s Grass/Ghost final evolution- Decidueye.

Beyond introducing new stages and new characters, you can also expect a number of cool new features. One new feature will allow you to engage in 3 vs. 3 battles, letting you pick out teams as if you were an actual Pokémon trainer. You can also take the game on the go, thanks to the Switch’s hardware. You can play local co-op against other players with their Switch consoles, or share the same console and play by splitting the Joy-Cons.

Pokkén Tournament DX will be present at this year’s E3. There will be show floor demos, new footage during the Nintendo Treehouse Live, and an Invitational tournament on June 14th at 10:30 AM PT. Here’s Nintendo’s E3 schedule for more information about this.

Pokkén Tournament DX will launch on September 22.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will be the next brand new Pokémon RPG adventure coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Players will return to the Alola region and experience an enhanced “ultra” version of Pokémon Sun/Moon.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon offers an alternate storyline to the original Sun and Moon. While they sound like they could be sequels akin to Pokémon Black 2/White 2, these sound more in line with traditional enhanced entries like Pokémon Emerald or Pokémon Platinum. You’ll see brand new Pokémon, locations, and features that weren’t in the original games. The box mascots, Solgaleo and Lunala, have mysterious new forms that may have something to do with Necrozma, an enigmatic legendary Pokémon.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will launch on November 17.

Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver Virtual Console Re-Releases

The Gameboy Color’s Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver will be getting the 3DS Virtual Console re-release treatment. Like the re-releases of Red, Blue, and Yellow version last year, they’ve been given an overhaul to make trading and battling features work.

Local wireless connectivity will let players trade and battle, just like playing with the Link Cable in the old days. The Time Capsule feature in the game will allow you to transfer Pokémon from the Generation 1 Virtual Console re-releases, and you can use Pokémon Bank to transfer Pokémon from these games into Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

The Gold and Silver re-release will launch on September 22nd, alongside Pokkén Tournament DX.
