At Evo 2017, Arc System Works and Bandai Namco had a few announcements to make regarding Dragon Ball FighterZ. We’ve got our first look at Trunks, who was officially revealed in Weekly Shōnen Jump a few weeks ago. In addition, they’re also getting us ready for the game’s beta testing.

Like the other characters revealed so far, Trunks’ move set and gameplay was created from numerous details from the Dragon Ball Z anime and manga. A lot of thought seems to have gone into the making of his character, and it clearly shows.

Trunks does use a sword in many of his moves, as you’d expect. This makes his move set different from some of the Super Saiyan fighters revealed so far, and it’s a nice change of pace.

Beta sign-ups for Dragon Ball FighterZ will begin on July 26. So far, they’ve confirmed that nine playable fighters will be available in the beta build of the game. There’s no word on when the beta testing will start. However, if you’d like to try your hand at this insane fighter, be sure to sign up soon.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z is set to release early in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC
