Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been delayed from its November 2017 release date. In a message from Level-5’s CEO Akihiro Hino, Level-5 announced that the game will now launch on January 19, 2018.

Hino apologized to gamers looking forward to to Ni no Kuni II’s release. He stated the the delay will allow Level-5 to “deliver the full Ni no Kuni 2 experience.”

Hino also wanted to clarify that the game has no multiplayer features. An E3 interview with Hino previously suggested that the game would have multiplayer. However, he’s taken back that statement, clarifying that he misunderstood the question from his interviewer.

Ni no Kuni 2 will not have multiplayer content. I misunderstood the interview question, thinking it was asking about online content in general and my answer referred to online announcement of in-game events. As a result of this, I wrongly gave the impression that the game features multiplayer content.”

Ni no Kuni II will launch on January 19, 2018 for both PS4 and PC.
