A weird Pokémon reveal is set to come out next week, and it could include aliens. A video and website from The Pokémon Company Japan both seem to point to July 19th as a reveal date. The website shows Generation 7’s Ultra Beasts and other extraterrestrial-like Pokémon such as a Elgyem and Magnezone as alien invaders.

A translation from Polygon states that the video is titled “Pokémon Mystery File: A World of Pokemon You Don’t Know”. The video shows previous games such as Sun and Moon, as well as HeartGold and SoulSilver.

If you thought that the website was weird, Polygon translated the video as well. Apparently, it says “Is this a time slip? Is it manipulating time? It came from the moon? Is it a space virus? Is this an encounter with aliens? The battle with the alien invader has begun!”

“Is this the underside of this world? Is this a puzzle of ancient relics? Is this an attack from a parallel universe? Is it possessing humans?”

The video ends with Unown banding together to say “Is something happening?”

When will we know?

Something to keep in mind that this is being teased by The Pokémon Company Japan, which means it could only be available in Japan exclusively. Furthermore, the video is headlined with “Pokémon Daisuki Club”- the official Japanese Pokémon fan club, and seems to be part of a series of quirky promotions. Don’t expect this to lead to a major reveal for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.

Whatever this ends up being, it looks like we will hear more about it next week. Continue checking back for an update on the aliens.
