Sonic Mania has quickly made some gamers happy and others vexed. SEGA announced that the PC version of the game will be delayed 2 weeks for more development time.

On a YouTube livestream it was officially announced that the PC version of Sonic Mania will now launch on August 29th, but those who pre-ordered the game, standard or collector’s edition, will get a free copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Console versions of Sonic Mania will launch on time this August 15th, and some got their copy early.

Some retailers have broken the street date for Sonia Mania but are warned not to try and play the game if the key is for Xbox One or PS4. Those versions are locked out until the game goes live on August 15th but Nintendo Switch versions can be played right now.

Sonic Mania launches August 15th for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The PC version launches August 29th.
