Razer, notoriously known for creating some of the best gaming equipment, is now moving towards development of a mobile device.

Min-Liang Tan, CEO and co-founder of Razer, told CNBC’s “Managing Asia.”:

“One of the most hotly rumored things about Razer is that we’re coming up with a mobile device. And I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specifically geared toward gamers and entertainment,”

Tan stated that they plan to bring the product by the end of the year.

Since Razer acquired smart-phone maker Nextbit in January of this year rumors spread that the company would extend into the mobile industry before shutting down support for Nextbit’s cloud-based Robin phone in August.

Considering Razer’s reputation of creating some of the best, and most expensive, tools dedicated to gamers we should expect the best quality of whatever they’re making.
