Bethesda Softworks posted a new gameplay trailer for their up and coming sequel The Evil Within 2. Although there is gameplay in it, we do get to see a few clips and audio from cutscenes, which provide us more details on what’s actually at stake.

As Sebastian Castellanos, you will face unimaginable terrors as you fight to find your daughter within the nightmare of STEM and get her out safely before the entire system crumbles around you.” Your enemies are great in number as well as powerful. All of the enemy designs in the trailer look gorgeous, and by that I mean they look grotesque and gnarly as hell.

It also looks like Sebastian’s daughter, Lily, has grown up quite a bit as well. But something seems wrong, do you think that STEM has brainwashed her, or she just doesn’t recognize her father anymore? I’d like to hear what your theories are in the comments!

The Evil Within 2 is set to release worldwide on Friday, October 13, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s time to get spooky.
