South Park is known for tackling controversial issues and South Park: The Fractured but Whole is making the game harder based on your character’s skin color.

In The Fractured but Whole you play as The New Kid and if change your character’s skin to be darker the difficulty will increase, with the game getting easier if his/her skin is lighter. This isn’t only linked to the game’s difficulty, characters in the game will speak to you differently.

The Fractured but Whole takes place after the events of South Park: The Stick of Truth. The children begin a new adventure this time becoming role-playing superheroes instead of fantasy characters. Cartman’s planned film franchise using their heroic personas splinters the boys into two groups. Those who side with Cartman join Coon and Friends and the rival group Freedom Pals. As the New Kid players must decide which side to ally with.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole launches for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 17th.
