Nintendo’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Direct offered tons of new details about its gameplay, characters, and gargantuan sci-fi fantasy RPG world. However, one of the biggest twists of the Nintendo Direct was the announcement of several add-ons coming to the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will feature dual audio voice acting. Upon its December 1st launch, you can download a patch that adds Japanese voice acting to the game– for free! You can switch between both English and Japanese audio, and enjoy both!

Nintendo also announced a $29.99 Expansion Pack. Content will roll out from between December 2017 to Fall 2018. Here’s a rough outline of what you can expect from it:

  • December 2017: Support Items for Your Journey
  • January 2018: New Quests for the Main Game
  • Spring 2018: New Rare Blade
  • Summer 2018: New Challenge Battle Mode
  • Autumn 2018: A Brand-New Story and Adventure

To promote Xenoblade Chronicles 2, additional DLC content will be coming to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A free new quest will arrive in Breath of the Wild, and upon completing it, you’ll be able to dress up as our new Xenoblade protagonist, Rex.
