Following one of the biggest years in Halo esports history, in terms of viewership and participation, 343 Industries and Major League Gaming have entered into a partnership to bring the Halo Championship Series (HCS) to the next level.

The HCS team and the 343 team have been working on some fundamental changes within Halo esports, which includes changes in the way they communicate with fans, players and team organisations. The two parties have also been working to shift around events and their formats, as well as changes in the tournament organiser partnerships.

For 2018, 343 Industries and MLG have partnered to work together to oversee the Halo Championship Series, which starts with the Halo World Championship.

The Halo World Championship commences on the 13th of January worldwide on MLG’s Gamebattles platform, with the first event of the Halo World Championship 2018 season taking place in Orlando from February 16-18.

My first video game was Tonka Construction for the PC. I played that in 2000, at 3 years of age, and have been hooked by video games ever since. I like to dabble in as many games as I possibly can, but nothing can come close to a captivating story, an intense multiplayer experience or a well made RTS game. In 2015, I found what can only be described as passion and love for esports. Now I convey that passion, love and knowledge through articles about esports titles, most notably Counter Strike.
