Get ready to groove and spend time with your favorite Persona 3 and 5 characters in the upcoming rhythm spin-off games! As revealed in a recent issue of Famitsu (detailed by Ryokutya2089), Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will feature a Social Link mode. You’ll get to enjoy mini-events with the Persona gang and a silly scenario that brings our characters together for dancing.

In Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night, “Social Link” mode begins with a sudden invitation to Club Velvet (Yes, really- Welcome to Club Velvet). Its attendant, Elizabeth, asks our protagonists, the members of SEES, to join the big dance party she’s throwing. Thus, the Persona 3 gang is roped into whacky dancing shenanigans.

Persona 5: Dancing Star Night begins similarly. In one of the Persona 5 protagonists’ regular visits to the Velvet Room, he finds that he’s not in his familiar jail cell– he’s in Club Velvet! Its wardens, Caroline and Justine, tell him to get ready for a big dance party! While we’re not sure if dancing has anything to do with his “rehabilitation,” he and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts must bust out their best dance moves in this new and unexpected challenge.

For both games, the Social Link mode will work identically. Essentially, this system will let you see mini-events where we get to see fun character interactions. In order to unlock them, you’ll need to clear certain requirements tied to gameplay goals and progression. You’ll also get the game’s fashionable and quirky costumes by clearing these requirements.

Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5: Dancing Star Night will launch for PS4 and PS Vita in Japan on May 24. There’s no information about bringing the games to North America and Europe yet.
