If you own an old version of the iPad or iPhone and like playing Pokémon GO we have some bad news, support for the game will end next month.

Players on these devices won’t be able to access their accounts after February 28th. This also includes the use PokeCoins or any items purchased. Alongside iPhone 5 and 5c the iPad 4th, 3rd, iPad 2, and 1st generation and will not be able to run Pokemon Go.

The following devices are no longer supported by Pokémon GO:

This isn’t an uncommon practice as Apple customers are forced to update their older devices after a certain period. Older Apple devices unable to get the software updates are locked out from accessing certain applications, essentially forcing customers to upgrade or be locked out of their favorite applications.
