Pokkén Tournament DX is getting new DLC this year in 2 packages, each containing a new fighter and support Pokémon.

The first one launches January 31th and includes the Ghost/Steel Pokémon Aegislash. This Pokémon has two forms, one for offense and another for defense focused abilities. The two support Pokémon include Mega Rayquaza which can charge and knock players down and Mimikyu who attacks with a close-range Shadow Claw.

The second DLC coming March 23nd adds Blastoise to the roster and includes the legendary Pokemon Mew and Celebi as support characters. No gameplay was shown, but it’s safe to say that Blastoise will be able to evolve into his Mega Form and use Hydro Pump.

The DLC is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. It will not be coming to the Wii U version.

Pokkén Tournament DX is now available for Nintendo Switch.
