Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, the 3DS remake of the DS’s Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, is journeying over to the west. North American and European release dates have been given by Atlus.

First up, North American 3DS owners will be able to pick up the game on May 15th. It will release in Europe three days later on May 18th.

The western box art has also been revealed. In this version of the game’s box art, you can see the game’s cast: the protagonist, Zelenin, Jimenez, and Commander Gore. The new heroine, Alex, takes a prominent position towards the center of the cover.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux follows the story of the original: “A spatial distortion full of demons appeared in Antarctica, threatening to engulf the Earth. The United Nations responded by tasking a team of highly advanced specialists with piercing the anomaly and figuring out how to stop it from the source.” Players will need to don their Demonica and fight demons with demons.

Gamers who have played the original will have new content to look forward to. The addition of a new character, Alex, adds new story elements to the game. There will be additional endings, a new dungeon, and more in this expanded port.
