In 2016 Square Enix confirmed through their official Instagram page that Utada Hikaru was working on a new introduction song for Kingdom Hearts 3. Now the song has finally be released, some of it at least. Called “Don’t Think Twice” in English and “Chikai” in Japanese the new theme for Kingdom Hearts 3 releases new footage from the game and raises a new question.

Like previous games, it’s likely we’ll get other variations of the “Don’t Think Twice” as both “Simple and Clean” from Kingdom Hearts and “Sanctuary” from Kingdom Hearts 2 has different versions of the song within the game. The trailer also reveals that Riku has another half. After his Keyblade loses power Riku leaves it for whoever this person is.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is slated for 2018 and is in development for Xbox One and PS4.
