HAL Laboratory, the developer known for their work on such beloved series as Kirby, Mother (EarthBound), and Super Smash Bros., has launched their first smartphone game, Part Time UFO.

Part Time UFO originally released in Japan this past November as Hataraku UFO but is now available worldwide for the price of $4 USD per download.

Part Time UFO puts players in the shoes (so to speak) of an anthropomorphic UFO/flying saucer as it arrives on Earth, taking on various tasks and odd jobs to assists its inhabitants. Using its extendable claw, the flying saucer can accomplish such things as catching fish, loading trucks with cargo, assembling totem poles, and much more.

Upon completing these various jobs, players will be rewarded with money, which can then be used to buy new costumes for your UFO. The game currently features over 20 different costumes that can be unlocked across 27 different levels. In addition, each level contains secret achievements that can be completed to unlock even more jobs. Players will also be able to show their in-game accomplishments off to their social media followers via Part Time UFO‘s built-in sharing function.

Part Time UFO is currently available for iOS and Android.
